re:imagine/COMMUNITY is re:imagine/ATL's in-school or after-school storytelling program. Over the course of a semester students not only learn how to write and produce a short film but they also learn how their personal stories can help impact their greater community.

re:imagine/COMMUNITY has been implemented across eight schools and three school districts since 2015.

Core Elements:

  • Project-based Learning: Collaboration to complete a quality video

  • Production Skills: Fundamental understanding of the process from start to finish

  • Community Engagement: Trip to studio or location to film and special guest opportunities

  • Leadership Development: Work is shared with different community members, student panel opportunities

  • Social Emotional Learning: Students contribute to a safe learning environment and learn tools for emotional growth
