Thank you for your interest in serving and supporting youth media creation with re:imagine/ATL!

We welcome volunteers with a wide variety of skills and experience, including specialized filmmaking & editing skills, as well as youth development, social justice, data entry, tech support, and good old fashioned elbow grease. Volunteers are at the core of re:imagine/ATL programming that fuel and support our success. Volunteers are not compensated except in love, appreciation, and satisfaction that they are improving and diversifying the media landscape of Atlanta and beyond. Hours vary by project.

Workshop Producer

The Workshop Producer is responsible for planning and producing all re:imagine/ATL workshops, including Currents, Crash Course and mobile workshops.

Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:


● Work with Program Director to plan all re:imagine/ATL monthly workshops including CURRENTS, CRASH COURSE, MOBILE, and JOB SHADOWING days. MOBILE workshops include teacher training and 1-day training events. ● Provide Communications Strategist with information in advance for the purpose of marketing and promotions ● Set-up eventbrite or use CRM system for each workshop event


● Coordinate schedules with all workshop instructors ● Ensure that all “resident instructors” are properly trained and prepared to teach at schools and partnering organizations ● Coordinate background checks with Administrative Manager ● Coordinate with Administrative Manager for volunteers (if needed) for workshops ● Coordinate with Program Director to plan job shadowing days with Alliance companies


● Collect and analyze data for workshop evaluations ● Track and report data to Program Director (sign-in sheet, tally observation - CURRENTS), post-survey (CRASH COURSE & MOBILE) ● Organize/communicate with volunteers for workshops (if needed) ● Purchase supplies (snacks, printed materials) within each workshop budget (as needed) Requirements: ● Experience working with teens ● Experience with planning and organizing events ● Strong verbal communication skills ● A level of familiarity with Canva, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Google Docs ● Comfort with online tools, such as Slack, MailChimp, Squarespace and Asana

Mobile Workshop Instructors

re:imagine/ATL is seeking experienced creative media professionals to lead workshops for teens across the metro Atlanta area this school year. We want to connect teachers that need classroom support with creative industry professionals that can guide students through interactive instruction and give them valuable learning tools. We are seeking professionals to instruct workshops featuring cinematography, video editing, screenwriting,  animation, storyboarding, and podcasting.

Time Commitment

  • 1 on 1 strategic meeting with reimagine/ATL
  • 1 day at a school for observation to offer feedback and support to AV teacher + teach three, 90 minute workshops during school day (8:30a-3:30p)

Core Elements of Workshops:

  • Workforce readiness (communication and working as a crew)
  • Production skills (process start to finish with emerging technology)
  • Continued education (provides elements of instructions outside of daily classroom setting)
